Hello, I know you probably don't know me (I don't use DA as much as I should). But I just bought the Wacom Intuos5 Medium tablet yesterday. I've never owned a tablet and I'm trying to learn all the vital information before I use it (and possibly ruin it). I'd REALLY appreciate any advice/answers, even if I don't know you. My real-life friends are not artists and don't own a drawing tablet so my only source of info would be the internet. So please bare with me and my multiple questions. Here goes:
1. I've heard the nibs wear out and the screen gets worn quickly as well, and I was wondering if anyone experienced these problems and if a screencover/surface sheets would be a good solution, or maybe just putting a piece of paper on it? Also how do you purchase/find new nibs?
2. What program do you use? Did you just use the default program that came with it (I think it comes with Adobe Photoshop Elements, Anime Studio Debut, and Autodesk Sketchbook Express)?
3. Like I said I haven't had a tablet before so I will probably have to get used to how to work it, so if anyone knows any good tutorials, websites, etc than please let me know and I will check them out.
Thank you for reading (and hopefully commenting...)
